Ex-Cyclone Alfred – Emergency Tree Make Safe, Northern NSW

Following damaging storm activity across Northern NSW, a mature gum tree at a residential property came down, causing significant damage to the house, guttering, and surrounding structures. With the tree measuring over 20 metres tall and more than 1000 mm in diameter, a carefully planned removal was critical.

Enviro Trees was called in to assess the situation, safely remove the tree, and prevent any further risk to the property.

⚡Site Challenges
• Large mature tree with extensive canopy and heavy log mass
• Steep access road and slope created hazardous working conditions
• Tree had penetrated the roof, requiring stabilisation with a crane to safely dismantle it from the guttering and tin roofing
• Positioned 15 to 20 metres from the home, impacting structures during the fall
• Over 15 cubic metres of debris requiring removal

✔️Solution
By acting quickly and working safely, our crew was able to clear the site, remove the fallen tree, and restore safety for the occupants.
• All hazards cleared and site secured
• One large tree safely removed
• Structural risks to the house addressed
• Works completed efficiently and to safety standards
