NSW TAFE Ulladulla Grounds Maintenance

Recently Enviro Trees were engaged to assess and recommend a wholistic grounds maintenance solution for the NSW TAFE Campus at Ulladulla on the NSW South Coast.

The job presented many challenges including works required in multiple zones without a definitive scope of works. The site was overgrown and Enviro was to recommend solutions based on an assessment of the site.

It proved to be a combination of tree works, garden clearance, plant selection, sourcing and planting. There were also multiple stakeholders involved.

We came up with a number of solutions including;

🌳Selecting a Tree Partner who had both tree and garden capabilities, as well as experience working with the NSW Dept of Education and based near the Ulladulla location
🌳 Meeting with the TAFE stakeholders on site and conducting a walk through to discuss priorities and areas of focus
🌳 Developing a site map that clearly identified each area on campus that was to be subject to works

The scope of works included;

🌳Dead wooding various trees using climbers and elevated work platforms
🌳 Lifting the tree canopy
🌳 Trimming overhanging branches from roof lines
🌳 Clearing shrubs/trees from safety signs
🌳 Uplifting branches that were a safety (eye safety) risk
🌳Removing and stump grinding unsafe trees around gas tanks and fire hydrants to ensure standard clearance
🌳Removing and stump grinding unsafe trees (cracked or unstable)
🌳Preparing and sourcing indigenous owned plants and planting an indigenous garden.

Works were completed successfully by our Tree Partners with all stakeholders pleased with the outcome.
