AQF 5 Consulting Arborist- Sydney

Sydney | Full-time

We are seeking an AQF 5 Consulting Arborist to provide expert arboricultural consulting services across a range of client projects in Sydney. This role is responsible for delivering tree assessments, risk management advice and high-quality reporting in line with AQF Level 5 standards.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to provide practical, compliant and professional arboricultural advice tailored to a wide range of tree management challenges.

Major responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed tree risk assessments, visual tree assessments, health evaluations and site inspections for various clients

  • Prepare planning and development tree impact assessments

  • Prepare clear, comprehensive arborist reports in line with local regulations and industry best practices

  • Provide arboricultural advice and recommendations on tree management, preservation and mitigation strategies

  • Liaise with clients to ensure clear alignment relating to scheduling and actions arising from audits and assessments

  • Use Enviro Trees provided and industry-based technology solutions to efficiently fulfill job and project requirements

  • Keep up to date with changes in arboricultural legislation, standards and best practices

  • Contribute to client base growth by preparing quotes and tender responses and meeting with clients to explain and close these proposals

Required qualifications

  • Equivalent of Australian Qualification Framework Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture is required.

  • QTRA certification is mandatory.

  • Unrestricted driver’s license.

  • Working With Children Card.

Experience and skills

  • Experience in arboricultural consulting and client-facing project delivery.

  • Experience preparing arborist reports, tree impact assessments and related documentation.

  • Sound understanding of tree risk assessment, tree health evaluation and site-based consulting requirements.

  • Strong report writing skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work across multiple projects, manage priorities and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.

  • Confidence using technology platforms and industry-based systems to support efficient service delivery.

  • Commercial awareness and willingness to contribute to quote and tender preparation.
