Location: Appin, NSW Australia
Service Provided: Tree Risk Assessment
Site & Assessment Scope
Enviro Trees assessed approximately 118 trees near proposed demolition works at Appin, NSW, evaluating their health, condition, significance and suitability for retention.
The assessment considered potential impacts from the demolition of existing buildings and paved areas, identified trees endemic to the Cumberland Plain Woodland ecological community, and determined appropriate Tree Protection Zones (TPZs).
project value
The assessment gave the client a clear basis for planning demolition works, identifying trees suitable for retention and areas requiring removal or protection while supporting the site’s Cumberland Plain Woodland values.
Outcome & Recommendation
Approximately 106 trees were identified as endemic to the Cumberland Plain Woodland ecological community.
The majority of trees proposed for retention were in good to fair condition and considered suitable for long-term retention.
Approximately 12 non-endemic or exotic trees were recommended for removal to support restoration and the proposed site works.
Tree Protection Zones and practical protection measures were established for retained trees.
