Site & Assessment Scope

Following a major storm event, a walkover tree risk assessment was conducted at BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort. The assessment evaluated the condition of the tree population, considered the proximity of trees to significant targets and identified areas requiring further attention to support safe site operations.

THE ASSESSMENT & FINDINGS

  • Identified high-priority trees requiring further attention based on observed conditions and their proximity to significant targets.

  • Assessed visible storm-related damage and potential structural concerns, with particular focus on trees where failure could have significant consequences.

  • Documented findings in TreePlotter, distinguishing trees requiring urgent action from those suitable for monitoring or further investigation.

Outcome & Recommendation

  • Prioritised recommended remedial works, further investigations and ongoing monitoring.

  • Recommended targeted interventions to address identified defects and reduce potential risks to surrounding targets.

  • Provided a digital assessment record to support follow-up actions and ongoing tree management.

The assessment translated post-storm observations into a practical management strategy, helping the client make informed decisions about the continued management of the site’s trees.
