Client: Tasman Holiday Parks NZ Location: Hahei, New Zealand Service Provided: Tree Risk Assessment

Site & Assessment Scope

Enviro Trees was engaged to undertake the annual tree risk assessment of approximately 100 trees throughout the holiday park, including camping areas, accommodation grounds and play areas.

The assessment was undertaken to evaluate tree health and safety, identify potential risks to people and property, and support proactive, long-term tree management.

Each tree was assessed, tagged and mapped in TreePlotter, creating a clear digital inventory to support ongoing maintenance and risk management.

THE ASSESSMENT & FINDINGS

Overall, the majority of trees exhibited good health and structural vigour, however, several localised issues were identified, including deadwood, canopy dieback, low clearances over structures and potential interference with power lines.

Outcome & Recommendation

No critical or emergency-level hazards were identified. Works were recommended for completion to address structural defects, deadwood and clearance issues around utilities and high-use areas.

Ongoing maintenance, including canopy lifting, building clearance and selective Coral Tree removal, was recommended. Regular reassessments, particularly following significant storm events, were recommended to support continued site safety and effective tree management.
